There's a special place in the hall of fame for people who had one job and spectacularly face-planted into failure. We're not talking about little oopsies here—these are the kind of blunders that make you wonder how humanity ever invented the wheel. Today's exhibit features two glorious examples of when marketing meets disaster, leaving us all questioning someone's life choices. The Beverage No One OrderedPicture this: you're at an outdoor event, the sun is blazing, and you're desperately craving something ice-cold to quench your thirst. Then you hear a vendor cheerfully hawking their wares, except they're selling... hot beer. Yes, Hot beer sounds refreshing, right? because nothing says refreshment like a lukewarm lager that's been baking under the summer sun. Someone clearly skipped the day in business school where they explained the concept of supply meeting demand. We can only imagine the disappointed faces of customers who thought they misheard, then realized nope, this vendor is genuinely proud of their ambient-temperature brew. It's like opening an umbrella store in the Sahara—technically you can do it, but why would you? The Case of Mistaken IdentityIf the hot beer vendor deserves a participation trophy for trying, whoever designed this next disaster deserves... well, a stern talking-to at minimum. Wrong person on missing poster manages to feature the completely wrong person's photo, which is arguably the most important element of the entire poster. Imagine being the person who sees their face on a missing persons flyer while you're just out living your best life, minding your own business. That's going to be an awkward conversation with literally everyone you know. This is the kind of fail that starts with someone saying "close enough" and ends with a viral internet moment. Somewhere, a graphic designer is hiding under their desk, and honestly, we can't blame them. |
